Science and Technology Youth Concept Technology Verification Exchange and Exhibition Activities Dedicated to Collaborative Innovation of Industry, University and Research

In the context of rapidly advancing technology and the increasing intersection of innovation across various fields, the efficiency and models of converting scientific achievements face new challenges. Recently, a successful event focused on promoting the transformation of technological innovations was held, dedicated to building a service system and exploring new pathways for young innovators.

The event, organized by leading companies such as Lingyao Electromechanical Technology, Chuangxing Power, and Aidenburg Technology Industrial Park, highlighted the crucial role of validation centers in enhancing the efficiency of young innovators and empowering their transformation processes. Its goal was to explore how to create platforms that serve tech youth, enabling faster achievement conversion.

Participants included experts and representatives from government, industry associations, universities, research institutions, and innovation companies, as well as prominent investors.

In his keynote speech, Chen Zhigang, the Secretary-General of the “Innovation China” entrepreneurship coalition, emphasized the pivotal role of validation centers in the technological conversion process. He pointed out that strengthening the tech service system is significant for motivating young innovators. The coalition actively builds cooperative platforms to foster collaboration among members in research, incubation, investment, and industry sectors, aiming to explore new ideas for effective transfer from concept validation to practical outcomes and to promote a new collaborative development model.

As the “first mile” of scientific achievement transformation, concept validation plays a vital role in exploring new avenues and building bridges from research and development to industrialization. The event showcased six concept validation projects from various enterprises and academic institutions, including the 10-year research journey of the cable robot by Shanghai Lingyao Electromechanical Technology Development Co., Hubei Yukong Zhichu Technology Co.’s I-Drive project, the microchannel cell transfection device from Huanshangda Technology Park, a high-precision detection chip project for resistive array sensors from the Shanghai Institute of Microsystems, carbon fiber composite thermal field materials for the semiconductor industry from Shanghai Second Polytechnic University, and a hubless bicycle project from Shanghai Angu Industrial Design Co. These projects exemplify the diversity and innovation in the pathways and models for transforming scientific achievements.

During a roundtable discussion themed “Innovative Breakthroughs, Industrial Breakthroughs—Exploring New Paradigms for Technology Achievement Transformation,” experts from various sectors, including Zhang Aiping from Zhangjiang Industrial Engineering Institute, Wang Xumin from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, senior expert Liu Jingyu from the China Trademark Association, and Liu Qingshun from Shuangchuang Street Technology Development, shared their practical experiences. They engaged in an in-depth discussion on assessing the potential for technology achievement transformation, enhancing conversion efficiency, motivating various stages of the process, and sharing results. They also provided suggestions for multi-stage collaboration to explore new paradigms for transforming scientific achievements.

Industry experts noted that this event, through discussions and exchanges on cutting-edge practical experiences, created a platform for multi-party collaboration. It strongly supports motivating young innovators to engage in innovation and accelerates the deep integration of tech and industrial innovation, injecting new vitality into the transformation of scientific achievements.
