Taiyuan Airport is expected to operate 90 routes during the new flight season

On October 25, Shanxi Aviation Industry Group Co., Ltd. announced that Taiyuan Wusu International Airport (referred to as “Taiyuan Airport”) will implement its flight schedule for the 2024 winter season starting October 27. During this new flight season, the airport is expected to operate 90 flight routes.

To meet the diverse travel needs of passengers, Taiyuan Airport is enhancing its efforts in developing and introducing new routes. The airport currently collaborates with 34 airlines, operating 85 passenger routes to 67 cities, along with 5 cargo routes serving 8 cities.

In terms of domestic passenger routes, Taiyuan Airport is focused on optimizing its route structure and increasing flight frequency to key cities. For example, there will be an average of 14 flights daily between Taiyuan and Shanghai, and 12 flights between Taiyuan and Chengdu. Routes to Nanjing, Guangzhou, and Hangzhou will also average over 8 flights daily. Additionally, routes to Chongqing, Kunming, Xiamen, Shenzhen, Haikou, and Sanya will maintain a daily frequency of at least 6 flights, with more evenly distributed flight times.

When it comes to international and regional passenger routes, Taiyuan Airport will continue operations for flights to Hong Kong, Bangkok, Nha Trang, and Sydney.

As for cargo routes, the airport will routinely operate to Hohhot, Nanjing, Ordos, and Ezhou. Internationally, the airport will maintain stable operations for routes such as Mexico City-Taiyuan-Pudong-Chicago and Taiyuan-Almaty.

A representative from Shanxi Aviation Industry Group stated that Taiyuan Airport will continue to optimize existing flight schedules, improve its route network, and enhance accessibility for travelers. With changes in flight routes and times in the new season, passengers are advised to pay close attention to their travel plans.
