Shibao Senior Living Exhibition, farmhouse, free clinic… there is an endless stream of people experiencing it_1

During the event, there were three exciting raffles with a variety of generous prizes up for grabs. Vendors featured diverse offerings; Farm Fun shared seeds, plants, and saplings with the senior visitors. Attendees could explore ornamental plants like golden grass and giant bamboo, as well as culinary options such as Chinese toon and lemongrass, along with rose and loquat saplings.

At the Bay Area Moms classroom booth, traditional Chinese medicine practitioners offered free consultations and acupuncture treatments, drawing a steady stream of interested participants. One World Journal reader, Ni Hangsheng, shared his experience after his consultation. “Dr. CK Huang was able to identify my long-standing health issues just by taking my pulse. I’ve scheduled another appointment next week. I’m grateful to the World Journal for connecting me with a good doctor.”

Another booth, operated by Kang Bao Foods, showcased a selection of sugar-free, shelf-stable health foods tailored for seniors, including black sesame powder, almond powder, and grass jelly extract. Attendees were able to sample these products, with staff providing guidance on how to use them, like mixing black sesame and almond powders with yogurt for a calcium boost.

ShineCo, a company specializing in far-infrared products, showcased their star product—a far-infrared foot bath. Jerry Lu from ShineCo explained that the product aids in improving blood circulation, increasing body warmth, relieving pain, and enhancing metabolism. The best part? No water is needed; just place your feet in the device, set the timer and temperature for easy use.

Van Berg, SCAN Health, and CBC Financial set up booths to provide personalized consultations, addressing seniors’ questions related to healthcare insurance and financial trusts.

CBC insurance broker Deng Guixiang emphasized that each booth was strategically designed to meet the diverse needs of older adults. “Through events like this, seniors not only gain valuable information but also engage with others, experiencing warmth and care while finding a sense of community,” she noted.

Additionally, winners of the “Voices of Joy” singing competition, including Joanna Lee and the Autumn Harmony Chorus, took to the stage, captivating the audience with their beautiful performances that showcased the vibrant lives of seniors.

Over the course of the event, three raffles were held with prizes including electric blankets, glucose meters, blood pressure monitors, massage devices, ShineCo eye masks and foot baths, Xiaomi smartwatches, Kang Bao gift packs, Wei Chuan gift baskets, and even a 25-dollar voucher for A-Mei Kitchen.
