According to the “Dietary Guidelines for Chinese Residents (2022),” adults are recommended to consume between 300 to 500 grams of dairy products each day. However, the average dairy intake in China is only about 100 grams per day.

To shed light on this topic, Chen Junshi, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a researcher at the National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment, has identified six common misconceptions about dairy products and the truths behind them. This information aims to enhance understanding of dairy and its health benefits.
