Making Patriotism Relatable
By Wu Dan
Many schools across the country are leading up to National Day with a variety of engaging themes, including inviting Olympic athletes to share their inspiring stories of representing the nation, integrating key historical milestones into civic education, and hosting energetic flag-raising ceremonies painted in “Chinese Red.” These initiatives aim to create vibrant and engaging civic education experiences for students.
Developing a love for one’s country is integral to personal growth and success. To foster the next generation of builders and proponents of socialism, we must first instill a deep sense of patriotism in our students. The diverse activities celebrating the 75th anniversary of New China not only enhance the festive atmosphere but also serve as valuable tools for patriotic education. By tailoring educational approaches to fit students’ cognitive styles and historical realities, we can deepen their understanding through interactive, exploratory, experiential, and situational learning, leaving a quiet yet significant mark on their lives.
To cultivate a stronger sense of patriotism, it’s essential to introduce educational activities that resonate on a personal level. By making patriotic education relatable and heartfelt, we can significantly boost the pride and sense of belonging among youth, helping them forge a correct understanding of history, nation, and culture.

Cultural Exchange: Building Dreams Together
By Li Weijun
At the Guangxi National Museum, the “Cultural Exhibition on Solidifying the Consciousness of the Chinese National Community” is currently underway. Here, artifacts such as the Red Eight Army cap and “Victory in the War of Resistance” porcelain teapots serve as powerful symbols of the people’s love for both the Party and the nation.
New China is a unified, multi-ethnic country created by individuals from diverse backgrounds. National Day represents a crucial celebration of national unity and ethnic solidarity. Over the past 75 years, various ethnic groups have collaborated toward development, with the belief that “no one should be left behind” woven into our extraordinary historical narrative. Patriotism acts as the spiritual glue binding our diverse communities in perseverance and support for one another. By organizing a variety of cultural activities, we can inspire dialogue and integration among these communities, reinforcing their recognition of our great nation, the Chinese people, Chinese culture, the Communist Party, and socialism tailored to Chinese characteristics.
Encouraging different communities to appreciate the monumental achievements of the past 75 years will further strengthen our bonds of kinship, support, and shared aspirations, creating a powerful collective force to realize the Chinese Dream together.

Fostering Positive Energy for Military Strength
By Wei Changhao
National Day holds a special significance within the military. Our unit has recently engaged in a range of cultural activities, from “Strong Military Call” singing competitions and cultural performances to visits to martyr memorials and the production of military-themed short films. These efforts aim to enrich our spiritual lives, invigorate our patriotism, and generate positive momentum for military excellence.
“I was born in this country to protect it,” shared a soldier, voicing the sentiments of many comrades. The soldier’s primary duty is to serve and defend the nation. Reflecting on our history, countless revolutionary soldiers have faced the trials of life and death under the Party’s banner, dedicating themselves to safeguarding our borders, honing their skills, and stepping up during emergencies and disasters, thereby establishing lasting legacies for the country and its people. For today’s revolutionary soldiers, patriotism transcends mere rhetoric; it embodies a courageous commitment to strengthening our military, always ready to defend national interests with unwavering resolve.
Our soldiers represent a steadfast wall of support, resolute as iron. Safeguarding each home and every inch of our territory is the truest expression of love that revolutionary soldiers can offer to our nation and its people.
