68-year-old Chinese woman from Staten Island goes missing, police call on ADAP to find her_2

A 68-year-old Chinese woman named Cui Mai Yu (音譯) has gone missing from her home in the northern part of Staten Island. The NYPD’s 120th Precinct, which covers the area, received the missing person’s report on October 19th and subsequently issued a public appeal for information.

Cui was last seen by her family on the morning of October 19th around 8 a.m. Her family describes her as fair-skinned, approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing around 130 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. At the time she disappeared, she was wearing a blue coat, black pants, and black sneakers.

Concerned for her safety, her family reported her missing after searching the neighborhood and places she often frequented, but were unable to find her. As of this writing, the police have not yet located Cui.

Authorities are asking the public to assist in the search. If anyone sees someone matching her description, they are urged to call the NYPD hotline at (800) 577-TIPS (8477). Information can also be submitted via the website www.nypdcrimestopper.com, texted to 274637 (CRIMES) with the message TIP577, or reported through the X platform by tagging @NYPDTips. The police emphasize that all tips will be kept confidential.
