68-year-old Chinese woman from Staten Island goes missing, police call on ADAP to find her

A 68-year-old Chinese woman, Cui Mai Yu, has gone missing from her home in Staten Island’s New Brighton neighborhood, prompting local police to issue a public appeal for assistance on the evening of October 19. The 120th Precinct, which serves the northern borough, received the missing persons report after she was last seen at approximately 8 a.m. on the same day.

According to family members, Cui is described as having fair skin, standing about 5 feet 3 inches tall, and weighing around 130 pounds. She has gray hair and brown eyes. At the time she was last noticed, Cui was wearing a blue jacket, black pants, and black sneakers.

Concerned for her safety, her family reported her missing after searching around their home and in places she frequently visits without success. As of now, the police have not yet located Cui Mai Yu.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen a person matching her description to contact the police hotline at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
